1. Free trial
Every new account includes a 7-дневный Pro trial without requiring a payment method. The trial automatically ends; no charge is made and no refund is necessary. After the trial the account moves to the Free plan unless you choose to subscribe.
2. How to cancel a paid subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing section of your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: paid features remain available until that date, after which the account moves to the Free plan. Cancelling does not delete your data.
If you have trouble cancelling from the dashboard, email support@chattera.io and we will cancel the subscription on your behalf.
3. 14-day refund window (EU / UK consumer right of withdrawal)
If you are a consumer (acting outside your trade or profession) located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction granting equivalent rights, you have the right to withdraw from your initial purchase within 14 days of the transaction, without giving any reason.
To exercise this right, email support@chattera.io from the address associated with your account, with the subject line “Refund request”. We will process the refund through our Merchant of Record (Paddle.com Market Limited) within 14 days of receiving the request.
Important. If you start using paid features during the 14-day window, you acknowledge that the service has been performed and agree that the right of withdrawal is lost in respect of the portion already consumed, in accordance with applicable consumer law.
4. Refunds outside the 14-day window
Subscription fees paid for the current billing period are generally non-refundable after the 14-day window. We may, at our sole discretion, grant a partial or full refund in cases such as:
- A duplicate or accidental charge.
- A material defect in the Service that materially prevented you from using it during the period and that we were unable to fix within a reasonable time after you reported it.
- Annual plans cancelled within 30 days of renewal where the workspace had no usage during that period.
To request a discretionary refund, email support@chattera.io with your account email and a description of the situation.
5. What is not refundable
- Fees for periods that have already been used.
- Add-ons, one-time charges or usage-based charges that have already been consumed.
- Charges for AI usage or third-party services consumed through the platform.
- Subscriptions cancelled because of breach of the Terms of Service or our Acceptable Use rules.
6. Plan downgrades
Downgrading to a lower plan (or to Free) takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You are not charged for the difference and no refund is issued for the unused portion, unless the conditions in section 3 or 4 apply.
7. Failed payments and involuntary cancellation
If a recurring payment fails, our payment provider will retry it for a limited period. If the payment is not collected, the subscription is cancelled and the account moves to the Free plan. No refund is required because no charge was successfully collected.
8. Refund method and timing
Refunds are issued by our Merchant of Record (Paddle.com Market Limited) to the original payment method. The funds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. Currency conversion fees applied by your bank are outside our control.
9. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at support@chattera.io. We aim to resolve every issue directly. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in immediate suspension of the account while the dispute is investigated.
10. Account deletion and data export
Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account or data. You can request a full data export, or full account deletion, at any time by emailing support@chattera.io. See our Privacy Policy for data-retention details.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The Effective date at the top reflects the latest revision. Changes apply to purchases made after the new effective date.
